Lower costs of vaginal delivery

Because a routine vaginal delivery requires a shorter hospital stay and does not require the use of a major operating room, the cost is generally much less than for a cesarean delivery.

As with any birth, there is no way of predicting in advance whether a vaginal birth after cesarean (VBAC) trial of labor will require a cesarean.
