Gregory A. L. Davies, MD, FRCSC, FACOG - Maternal-Fetal Medicine
Dr. Gregory Davies reviews medical content for Healthwise, a nonprofit organization with a mission to help people make better health decisions. Dr. Davies is a professor in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology, the Department of Diagnostic Imaging, and in the School of Kinesiology and Health Education. He serves as chair of the Division of Maternal-Fetal Medicine at Queen’s University, Kingston, Ontario. Dr. Davies is director of the Fetal Assessment Unit and previously held the position of director of Labour and Delivery at Kingston General Hospital, Kingston, Ontario.
Dr. Davies has been the recipient of several research grants through Queen’s University, the Canadian Institute for Health Research, and other Canadian organizations. From 1998 to 1999 Dr. Davies was an examiner for the Medical Council of Canada Qualifying Examination Part II. He is a reviewer for Obstetrics and Gynecology, the journal of the Society of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists of Canada (Journal SOGC), and the Canadian Medical Association Journal.
Dr. Davies served on the genetics committee of the Society of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists of Canada from 1999-2006. He also serves on the Faculty of Health Sciences, Teaching Improvement Project Systems Committee of Queen’s University. From 1998 to 2004 he served as chair of the Annual Memorial Program 2-day CME in Obstetrics and Gynaecology for the Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology of Queen’s University. Dr. Davies is a member of the nucleus committee and examiner for the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada specialty examination in Obstetrics and Gynaecology.
