First National Catholic Sisters Week March 8-14
The first National Catholic Sisters Week is from March 8 – 14, 2014 as part of Women’s History Month. Sisters have made, and continue to make, vital contributions in education, health care, criminal justice, social justice, theology, the arts, and politics. Catholic Sisters stand with the poor and vulnerable, regardless of situation.
In addition to highlighting the significant role that Catholic Sisters have had historically, National Catholic Sisters Week will focus on a contemporary view of these women—their lives, mission, and works. The Sisters of Bon Secours, invite you to visit their new website for women considering religious life at: www.LifeAsASister.org. Take this virtual journey and meet sisters through videos and photos, discover ministry options a sister has available and how to hear God’s call and explore a vocation.
Visit an online chat room as we talk about what it’s like to be a sister, March 10 & 24, 7-8pm.
